We are proud to partner with Buena Vista University (BVU) to offer employees and their family members savings on tuition. For details...
There are individuals around us every day that go above and beyond to help others. Jon Jacobson was one such individual and a beloved Midwest Industries team member. Jacobson unexpectedly passed in 2021, and to honor his commitment to the team and community, Midwest Industries presented the Jon Jacobson Teamwork Award to fellow team members that embodied the noble traits of the positive force everyone at Midwest knew as “Big Jon.”
Each department nominated a representative who best characterizes the traits of Jon. Thirteen recipients of this award in Midwest Industries’ departments received $250 in recognition for their outstanding work. One of the thirteen winners was randomly drawn to receive an extra $1,000.
This year’s winners were...

Hispanic Heritage Month
September is Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 to October 15) to recognize the achievements and contributions of Hispanic American champions who have inspired others to achieve success. The observation began in 1968 as Hispanic Heritage Week under President Lyndon Johnson and was expanded by President Ronald Reagan in 1988 to cover a 30-day period. It was enacted into law on August 17, 1988. The theme for 2022 is "Unidos: Inclusivity for a Stronger Nation ."
Production Update - August 2022
Everyone has probably noticed what seems to be a reduction in work load. While we have seen somewhat of a slowdown, it is by design. Until a couple weeks ago, we had stopped taking orders from customers since last December. Because some of our customer orders from last year are just getting finished, we decided that we needed to start with a fresh slate and try and do better than a six month plus lead time. With that in mind, we made a strategic decision to not process any 2023 orders until we wrapped up all of the 2022 business. While we are still holding off processing 2023 orders, we have started to load size the 2023 orders and put them in the system. With our Big Three distributors, we already have over one hundred loads to place in the schedule. This doesn’t include any direct dealer loads or OEM loads. It appears that we are going to have a very busy fall. Our goal this year is to schedule the loads in a way that provides a closer delivery date to the scheduled load date. So, while we have reduced hours in some work cells and departments, this was by design and temporary. In the next few days, we should start to see more planned orders getting released and loads in general. In some cases, we may pull loads up early to get ahead of things. We appreciate your understanding as we work to create a more dependable and reliable schedule for our customers.
